What is Your Favorite Sport?This week, our school will be having our traditional grade level Field Days. Students will engage in a variety of sports and team building competition all throughout an entire day of fun.
Along with their excitement to celebrate this day, our class will be completing an individual project about their favorite sport. Students must create a poster or brochure describing their favorite sport, including their favorite team and player. They will also gather, graph and present information about their classmate's favorite sports. This project will be due Thursday for 8th grade. Grades 6th and 7th may turn in their project on Friday. Activities for this Week Monday 5/14- Lunch on the Lawn- 6th and 7th grade students will pick up their lunch and eat outside. They may bring a towel or small blanket to sit on during lunch. 8th grade students will have their end of the year picnic next week. Grade Level Field Day Wednesday 5/16- 6th grade Thursday 5/17- 7th Grade Friday 5/18- 8th grade At the HotelWhere do you like to stay when you go on vacation? You can stay with friends or relatives if they happen to live in the area that you are visiting, but many people who are on vacation prefer to stay at a hotel. This week students will be learning and practicing vocabulary related to staying in a hotel. We will focus on the following vocabulary:
Students will work in small groups to practice having conversations, finding the meaning of new words and completing sentences with vocabulary words. There will be a vocabulary quiz on Friday. |
