Informational Text: How does the human body work?IEL students will be reading and learning Informational Text. Students will be applying science related vocabulary to their reading and writing skills This week we will be focusing on a series of learning activities to learn and apply vocabulary related to the human body systems. Students will work in small groups to complete a series of projects, which includes illustrating, labeling and using sentence structures to explain the basic information about each system. Wednesday, students will be in the computer lab to look up information and complete a graphic organizer about a body system of their choice. They will continue their research Thursday and complete information by Friday. The Skeletal System The Human Heart The LungsThe Human BrainThe brain is part of the nervous system in the human body. It has two hemispheres. The right hemisphere controls the actions of the left side of your body. The left hemisphere controls the actions of the right side of your body.
