School and Classroom
This week, our students will have the unique opportunity to experience viewing the Great American Eclipse. Monday morning, students in our school will be reading and learning more about the solar eclipse as well as watching a video on How to Safely Watch a Solar Eclipse. In the afternoon, there will be two different opportunities to witness the event: Students who have a signed permission from their parent will receive safety eclipse glasses to view the eclipse with their teachers outside the school. Students with no signed permission will experience a life streaming of the event in our school theater.
Remember Cobb County Schools will dismiss students 45 minutes later on August 21, 2017, sue to the Solar Eclipse.
The rest of the week, our students will be reviewing vocabulary related to school and classroom. They will learn to identify and use nouns properly in their singular and plural forms. Students will also learn to use identify and use pronouns in sentences. There will be a test Friday that will cover vocabulary and concepts learned in their Ready, Set, Go Unit.
